Camberwell and Peckham (UK Parliament constituency)
Camberwell and Peckham is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since its 1997 creation by Harriet Harman of the Labour Party.
==Constituency profile==
To date the seat has been a safe seat for the Labour Party and the current MP is Harriet Harman, former Deputy Leader of the party and Shadow Culture Secretary. It has the distinction of having a higher proportion of poor people than any other constituency in the country in 2000, as defined by the Index of Multiple Deprivation at the time.〔(Poverty and wealth across Britain 1968 to 2005 ) Joseph Rowntree Foundation, 16 July 2007〕
